CSW60 - Commission on the Status of Women

One of the biggest events for equality and women's empowerment, The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), was held March 14-24. Women's organizations from all around the world came together at the UN to work with, and hold accountable, their governments on progress  regarding the status of women.

On March 22, the Kota Alliance was presenting at a CSW parallel event. The topic was Collaboration among Women's NGO’s for Greater Impact. We also presented our future project of a World Center for Women in New York City.

The Kota Alliance team also met up  over breakfast at CSI with Eva Biaudet, a Member of Parliament of Finland and former Ombudsman for Minorities, and Anna Jungner-Nordgren, the Chairwoman of The Women's Organisation of the Swedish People's Party in Finland. Both of them were in New York for CSW, where Eva was leading the annual Helvi Sipilä seminar.
